When you’re diagnosed with a chronic illness, you have a lot to deal with. Not just the physical symptoms and practical problems, but also a rollercoaster of emotions and worries about the future.
When I was diagnosed with SLE in 2004 it came as no surprise, maybe it was due to the fact that I had been working in the medical field for numerous of years. So when the doctor stated, "Susan, I don't know how to tell you this, but you have Systemic Lupus Erythematosus. And my reply was, "I knew that, so where do we go from here?"
The question that I have for you today is. How did you deal with hearing the words. "You Have Lupus"? What helped you to accept that you have a chronic illness?
